Our mission: to maximize synergic outcomes by reviewing books, films, and other stuff of interest to the people of Sherman Oaks and of the surrounding area, including the west Valley and all the way up to Ventura, and to areas extending east excluding most, but not all, of Rancho Cucamonga; to build healthy communities by publishing timely, scalable articles of real-time relevance to our readers and the people to whom they describe what they have read because they’re (let’s say) “too busy” to actually read it themselves; to empower in-context solutions to immediate, felt problems by responding to, neutralizing, correcting, mocking, and/or ignoring The Rancho Cucamonga Review of Books; to promote and foster the humane treatment of ourselves by the reading public; to develop, support, and steward creativity, the environment, the animals and plants of Earth, our children’s future, our customers and employees and their children and animals and plants, plus our and their children’s children; to enhance shareholder value once we have shareholders; to grow the economy and thrive the culture via the free expression of ideas in as friendly, sensitive, efficient, nutritious, respectful, grateful, aware, mindful, and ethical a manner as is practical and profitable, within reason.
